the reset

Growing up I used to play solitaire on our home computer. It was one of the ONLY games on that old thing during the 90s! Well I remember being on a roll at times but then when a roadblock hit, I would just reset the game to start over. Had I told my friends about this move then I would be labeled a quitter or someone who sucked at the game.

At this age, I have learned that resetting does not mean that I am quitting or giving up. Knowing when it's time to reset is just self awareness. Of course life is very different from some computer game but the principal of resetting still remains. Sometimes we have to take a step back, reflect and analyze the season, situation or task. The pause gives us the space to see what's working, what's not working and what tweaks need to be made to move forward.

Look at our brother Jonah. He was a prophet who was initially told by God to go to Nineveh, but he actively rebelled and fled. After being swallowed by a large fish, Jonah prayed to God and was given a second chance to complete his mission.

Over the past several months, actually the past year, I have been daydreaming about resetting. But daydreaming without action gets you nowhere...absolutely NOWHERE! There has been an urge, a pull even for me to revamp this community. This pull is only the Holy Spirit....IFKYK.

Lately I have been experiencing encounters that remind me of why this community and my calling are necessary during this season.

At one point I was thinking that my time was over. If someone has told you that your time is over, its a lie!! I had to remind myself that my gifts, my calling and my purpose don't expire. God does not waste anything! He doesn't waste our time, our tears, our gifts nor our future.

In a moment of transparency, I have been living in a state of anxiety and regret. If I am being honest, its been hellish! Well, Chelsea how did it get to this point?

I got out of the rhythm I had established. Point, blank, period.

There was a rhythm I was once in that was productive. In that rhythm, things were moving and I was able to get what I needed done. Checklists were created and completed. Goal setting happened weekly and the goals were met.

One thing I can say is that I began leaning on my own understanding and victories. I also allowed the voice of discouragement to become overwhelming. Eventually to the point where I could no longer hear the plan, the strategy, the direction of the rhythm. This is a dangerous place to be and will get you out of God's rhythm quicker than you know.

If there is something you have been daydreaming about getting done. Or if you have written down what you desire to do, then it's time to bring those items to life.

If you have allowed something or someone to get you out of rhythm or God's rhythm, it's time to return.

Time is running out and we no longer need to live in a state of regret!

I believe that I was put on this earth to edify, encourage and empower those I encounter. How can this happen if I am sitting around daydreaming instead of doing. This is why the reset is happening now!

What do you believe you have been placed on this earth to complete? If you haven't already, sit down with this question and figure it out.

If you know what it is you are called to but need help setting goals and meeting them, get my Goal Setting Guide.

I want to share this journey with you!

My goal is to gain at least 1,000 followers on TikTok so that I can go live to reach more people to edify, encourage and empower. If you are part of the ever growing TikTok community, take a moment to follow us here.

If you feel like you need a reset as well, reply to this email with the area you need to reset. I want to pray for you so that we can LIVE the life God called us to and so that we can reach those we've been assigned to reach! Also, grab my guide on how to "Set Your God Given Goals" by clicking here.

Now, pray this prayer:

Lord, thank you for my life, Your love and my assignment. Forgive me for allowing the voice of doubt, fear and procrastination become louder in my ear than Yours. Forgive me for thinking I could do this without You.

Father, give me the patience, understanding and strategy needed to accomplish the tasks You've placed on my heart and in my pen. I desire to obey You and do what it is that You have called and created me to do. Let this season be greater than the season behind me. Amen.

I love you. God loves you more!
